*Saudi Official Blames African Pilgrims For Tragedy
A Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Maiduguri, Prof. Tijjani El-Miskin, died this morning in Saudi Arabia.
It is unclear if he died in the stampede that took place this morning
claiming more than 700 lives and injuring over 900 but this sad news
comes as the head of the Central Hajj Committee, Prince Khaled al
Faisal, reportedly blamed the stampede on “some pilgrims from African
nationalities.”
The incident occurred during the ritual stoning of the devil.
