The norm for government websites crashing during application process for recruitment and other public interest programs may have come to stay just as the website for the N-Power program, npower.gov.ng witnessed a technical error few minutes after the portal opened for application.

Buhari okays N93bn to fund first phase of homegrown school feeding in 2016 budget across the country

To ensure the effective implementation of the National Home-grown School Feeding, HGSF, Programme, the Buhari presidency has already provided enough funds in the 2016 budget that will ensure that in the first instance 5.5 million primary school pupils would be served one free hot meal a day.
Making this explanation Tuesday afternoon in Abuja was the Senior Special Assistant, Media & Publicity in the Office of the Vice President, Mr. Laolu Akande, who added that while states are an active participant in the school feeding plan, their counterpart funding is not required to start the programmer's implementation.

Woman allegedly set ablaze by husband in Benin following a disagreement







A man has been arrested by police in Edo State for allegedly setting his wife ablaze following a disagreement over his refusal to attend her father's funeral.

According to PM News, the man identified as Onya on Saturday, June 11, poured petrol on his wife, Margaret Onya and set her on fire at their residence located at No. 35, JB street, Ekosodin quarters, off Ugbowo-Lagos Road, Benin City.
